Artist Led, Creatively Driven

Backlash Music

BACKLASH is an independent record label for composed and improvised music based in Berlin. It was founded in 2018 by producer Johann Günther and pianist Mathias Halvorsen as a space for alternative and conceptually developed recordings. BACKLASH primarily operates in the sphere of classical, contemporary and improvised music, but also seeks to be a home for projects that identify with several or no one genre in particular.
