This wonderful live recording with the Lübeck Philharmonic Orchestra brings us to the next recording of the series, Tchaikovsky’s violin concerto, to be released on May 5th.

Max Bruch’s Scottish Fantasy is the latest new release from the Kirill Troussov Live series, in which Kirill Troussov will explore the full range of the violin concerto repertoire, to be released as streaming-only EPs in partnership with Orchid.
Born in St Petersburg before becoming resident in Germany, Troussov is now widely recognised as one of the leading violinists on stage today, winning multiple awards and firmly established as a regular guest at prestigious concert halls and music festivals all over the world.
Teaching is also an integral part of Kirill Troussov’s work, with his reach and influence now even more extensive thanks to his innovative and hugely successful online masterclass platform, a major entrepreneurial venture that allows him to connect with other musicians around the world.
Troussov and Orchid began this exciting series of releases with the irresistible charms of the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto, and are continuing with Bruch’s Scottish Fantasy and Tchaikovsky’s violin concerto.
Troussov plays the Antonio Stradivari ‘Brodsky’ violin of 1702, on which violinist Adolph Brodsky performed the world premiere of Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto in 1881.
The start of a collaboration set to last several years, these EPs are all the more joyful and immediate for being live recordings, capturing the spontaneity and nuance of an outstanding soloist in concert.

Supported and guided by Sir Yehudi Menuhin at a young age, Kirill Troussov is widely recognised as one of the leading violinists of his generation. He works with renowned orchestras and is a regular guest at prestigious festivals and in famous concert halls all over the world.
His celebrated performances have brought him among others to Tonhalle Zürich, Berliner Philharmonie, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Palais des Beaux Arts Brüssel, Théâtre du Châtelet, Théâtre des Champs Elysées, De Doelen, NCPA in Beijing, Suntory Hall in Tokyo, Auditorio Nacional de Musica in Madrid, Verbier Festival, Schleswig-Holstein Festival and Menuhin Festival Gstaad.
His passion for chamber music and friendship connect him to artists like Sol Gabetta, Yuja Wang, Julian Rachlin, Daniel Hope, Joshua Bell, Gautier und Renaud Capucon, Natalia Gutman, Christian Zacharias, Yuri Bashmet, Mischa Maisky and Julia Fischer.
Kirill Troussov regularly gives master classes at the Mozarteum Salzburg, European Music Intstitute Vienna, in Cremona, Milan, Madrid, Dublin, Berlin, Munich, Oslo, Budapest, USA and Hong Kong.
He is frequently invited as a jury member to international violin competitions, among them the “Schoenfeld International String Competition” and “Ysaÿe International Music Competition”.
Since 2021 Kirill Troussov has been Chairman and Artistic Director of the “Hong Kong International Young Musicians Competition”.
